Jon Stewart
returns to a regular TV gig at the helm of the popular news parody.
The insightful
comic has been a busy man since his eponymous talk show was canceled
in 1995. He's written a book, poked fun at his guest-host status
on The Larry Sanders Show and is currently featured in
two films (The Faculty and Playing by Heart). Now,
he lends his talents to The Daily Show.
It's also
a reunion of sorts for Stewart, who again teams up with producer
Madeleine Smithberg, from his MTV and syndicated days. And, if
Stewart's past achievements are any indication, it's a safe bet
that the show's trademark wit will remain strong.
